Well, my wife, daughter, and wife's mom and sister decided to take a trip to the Mouse House. They left on Saturday, June 9th. I was led to believe, or I assumed (hard to know for sure) that they would be back on June 17th, Fathers Day. So I called on the 16th to make sure they were leaving. The answer? "Yes, we're leaving for the Magic Kingdom right now"...    Shocked   silence on my part.....   They should be here by Thursday the 21st.

So I called on Wednesday, the 20th, to confirm that they were leaving. Uh, nope...they are having a really good time. They should be here by Saturday the 23rd. again....silence.. "Achmed the Terrorist" on Jeff Dunham's show would have been proud of me. I was about ready to start blowing stuff up too! LOL.

The gardens are producing like crazy. I'm giving stuff away hand over fist. Other folks are getting things canned up, and I now have a stack of new jars just waiting for someone to show up and get busy. I have pressure washed all three decks, put 2 coats of stain on them, started pressure washing the house and gutters, kept the gardens watered, all the flowers watered ,the cats fed, the dishes washed, the clothes washed, swept the floor, dusted the furniture, cooked my own meals (if you call putting Ramen noodles in a bowl of water cooking), done all my grass cutting on this entire property, picked cukes and maters till I'm tired of them.... basically everything inside and outside and I still have no idea IF or WHEN the folks will be back. Sooner or later they're gonna run out of money.....aren't they? ? ? ? Needless to say... I am a very Unhappy member.  Sad

PS...  they better hurry back soon, or I'm going look me a Swedish maid !  Grin

 I too have been away awhile and have not seen the bickering . But as the Donald says ....'' dont let the screen door hit you where the GOOD LORD split you......in the behind. You know what to do Donald. I myself am thankful for the forum cause like an unwatered and unworked garden it could just go away.  Grin

Lots of good points made in this thread. been long absent for two main reasons, one TBird hit on MONEY or lack there of, the deer wiped me out last year and not being able to deer proof i opted to just plant taters and cane. i have found out that when there aint nuthin better to eat they will eat the tops out of taters and ruin them to. reason 2, my grandsons. i have them every week for 3 or 4 days, their in my bed asleep right now. they are the most precious thing in life to me ( atleast until the 6 mo old grand daughter can tag along ) they trump every hobby i have ever had, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, motor cycling and even gardening. i have not quit gardening and will be planting again in a month or two.
 this is without doubt the best forum on the internet bar none !!!! i am impressed with the folks who came out and said they may have been political or blunt, it is hard not to be at times, human beings can be passionate or i should say are because we are all passionate about something.
i think the best thing i can say to those who don't want to be banned is this. you may be missed by someone here, if you cant hold your tounge for your own sake hold it for theirs. i am promted to say this by the loss of one of my favorites, who was a moderator as well. many of you will remember him, ChuckGa. i do not know why he left, what the circumstances were or anything else, all i know is he was always there when i needed his help and that i miss him, trust me you are valued here by someone so act like you got some sense and do act right like your mamma and grandma tried to teach ya.

@ DF. if you still hear from Chuck tell him earl still thinks of him often and that he is missed.

@ Donald and company. thanks so much for all you do here, it is important work that needs doing and is appreciated by many.

@MPH. i vote IRISH !!!!!

@TBIRD yer one of a kind T and it is a shame, we could use at least one more of ya Grin Grin Grin
