Here are a few pics from my garden this morning. Pictured are 500 ft of Kandy Corn, 275 ft of greasy beans, 275 ft of white half runners, 225 ft lazy wife beans, 225 ft of speckled greasies, 225 ft of cranberry beans, 150 ft of taters the herb beds. I didn't take any pics of the tomatoes cause I didn't want to scare anybody off the garden competition  Roll Eyes

Nice looking beans! While camping in Ky last year a Park ranger came along and was admiring all my produce I had on the picnic table. He came back the next day with about 3 # of those greasy bean seed. I plaNTED BUT GOT A REALLY TERRABLE STAND. I went abck and replanted in the empty spots so after 3 plantings in the same spot I now have a decent stand . Hoping to save the seeds. Where do you get your bean seed of the lazy house wife and greasy beans?

Got the lazy wife beans and the cranberry bean seed from an old farmer here in Harlan County Ky. The greasies have been in my familty for years and years. They are all open pollinated and my great grandfather, grandfather, father, and now me have saved them over the years.

Mr. Doitall- Lazy wife beans are basically a greasy pole bean that is stringless. This year I planted all the seed I had - didn't get good germination bacause of the weather. I should be able to send some to those that want them at the end of the season.
