mix up some Dawn dish detergent (tablespoon or so) in a sprayer with gallon of water. Shake/stir it up and spray them boogers and should be over and done. Do it in the evening when there's no bees out. If this don't kill them, try something a little stronger or use NEEM oil. Certain types of aphids are harder to kill than others. You will have to follow up in a few days and keep an eye out to see if eggs hatch. NEEM will prevent the eggs from hatching too! I like NEEM!!  Grin

Good Luck!

Don't waste any time, get them now. A few years back I lost my whole okra patch to the suckers. I had never had aphids before and didn't realize how much damage they could do. They sucked the life out of every plant.

Picked my first batch of okra today and did notice some aphids.  So immediately after picking I sprayed with permethrin.  Will check them in the morning and spray again in a couple of days if necessary.  This heat is bringing on the okra crop.

Good for you Allen, I picked a small batch earlier in the week and we had enough to make a small pot of gumbo. I also picked a few Wednesday and again today. It won't be long until I'll be picking every other day but it's something I enjoy and it's great eating.
