I started corn and grocery store dried beans (pics)

I finally brokedown and bought an eathway planter last week and I'm impressed with it so far. I planted 6 90' rows of merit corn, 3 90' rows of store bought dried baby limas and used it to sidedress the okra. It was well worth the $100 to save my back and the time it saved. I planted everything flat instead of a row to make it easier to sidedress later and the planter also makes a nice little ditch to water which has worked out well.

I planted last Thursday and the corn came up on Sunday, even in this heat.

I think about 95% sprouted, I hope that they make beans and are not treated to prevent them from growing. PHP on the right were started about 2 weeks ago.

I think I'm a little early on the corn and might have problems with the heat and polination. The beans should be good to go unless there's something I don't know about.

I hope we get some rain, it's so dry that the ground has 1" cracks in it and I'm getting tired of dragging 200' of hose around to water but the okra is growing like crazy.

I planted a second crop of sweet corn on June 1st. Corn does well in the heat and usually produces fine here in the south.
