Just wanted to share the inside of my greenhouse.  The tomato plants were placed in early October and the cherry is putting out a few maters already.   The early girl has green maters that I am waiting on to ripen.  the rest of the pic are of the plants that I started last week.  Some have come up already with the help of heat mats and heating pads.  I have 2 lights in there at moment to give them light, but am going to put a shop light in there today so that the seedlings don't get too leggy.

Was wondering how big is your greenhouse? Just bought one from Growers Supply.

Thanks Mac.  This is my first year with a greenhouse and I am enjoying it very much and learning a lot of new things.

Curious as to how you might have it anchored?  We get some serious wind here and Texas gets a fair amount also.

I have the 10X12 Harbor Freight greenhouse. I love it... I anchored it with 3 foot rebar...2 on each side to anchor the wood. I think the greenhouse itself will get  ripped apart and blown away before the base comes up..

That being said. I am challenged with how to maximize the space I have. I have a row of plants down one side, a platform of new seedlings in the middle and a series of shelves on the other side. i move stuff around to fit my needs for the moment. I bought a thermometer that transmits the temp into the house.

We are hitting high temps right now, but I have buckets of water sitting inside as a heat sink.

Mike,
My brother in law drilled some holes into the ground with his tractor drill (we are on limerock and only have about 2 inches dirt).  Then he poured cement into the holes and stuck a bolt upside down into the cement.  Bolt head in cement, bolt threads sticking out.  Then he drilled holes in the wood and placed on top of the bolts and then tightened with the nut.  I am not sure this is understandable but it is the best description I can give.

The greenhouse panels did fly off a couple of times because the kit did not have enough clips included.  We solved that by caulking the panels to the aluminum frame and it works great now.

Hope this helps.

nice looking greenhouse, how well does it retain heat?  do you have to add any extra heat to it on cold nights?

Yes i have to add heat when it gets really cold.  I've been using a 500 watt utility light during cold nights and it seems to do just fine.  The coldest temps have been in mid 20's and only a few days at a time.
